This society is among the oldest of the benevolent societies of the city, being founded nearly sixty years ago. Its financial affairs are in first class condition, and embraces the leading social and business members of the sons of Italy in this city. The affair yesterday was very hospitable, and every one was made to feel at home and nearly the whole membership of the society was present. The memu was excellent and was prepared under the direction of a committee composed of the following gentlemen: G. Mazel, chairman; G. Gussoni, R. Arriati, B. Panzeri, C. Ferrari, G. Pumfglia and V. Vitrano. The banquet was followed by a pleasing address by Consol Fari-Forui, in which he expressed his gratification at the great progress achieved by the Italian colony in all matters of social and commercial importance and said that he believed that the same spirit of advancement would continue and increase in the future. Messrs. L. Cipriani, Antonino Patorno, A. Dell'Orto, F. Formento, E. Cavalli and the president of every Italian society represented at the banquet had something pleasing to say.
