Grand Celebration of the
Quadri-Centennial of the
Discovery of America, by the
United Italian Societies, at the
Fair Grounds, October 12, 1892

Proceeds go to the Charity Hospital

1 P.M.   Departure of committee for Fair Grounds

2 P.M. Opening of celebration; opening address by U. Marinoni, Jr. President
of Committee on Celebration.

2:30 P.M.? Speeches by Hon. John Fitzpatrick, Mayor of New Orleans; John
Rocchi, Esq. ? of the day, in Italian; Dr. Juan Hava, in Spanish, L. B. Bouby,
Esq., in French

3:30 P.M. Games
Sack race - prize $5.00
Donkey race - prize - $5.00
Bicycle race - prize one medal
One mile run - prize one medal
Fat men's race - prize one silk umbrella

Children's games - Ride to the mill, flour game, chasing the pig

Ladies Games - Hunting the spider, donkey's tail, pelican game

Handsome prizes for ladies and children's games

5 P.M.   Japanese balloon ascension

7 P.M.   Grand drawing of prizes and award of medals

9 P.M.   Fireworks

    Dancing on the platform during the day, and after 7:30 p.m. in the
ballroom

    Enteries may be made at L. C. Tortorich's corner of Royal and Customhouse,
until the 12th, or to L. C. Tortorich on the grounds.
