The locomotive attached to a freight train on the Columbia
(Pa.) Railroad, exploded on the 29th ult., near Columbia,
killing George Z. Eigler, the engineer, and seriously scalding
the fireman.  The engine was completely demolished -the rest of
the train was uninjured.
