He was 94. Mr. Satterlee was born in Franklin and lived in New Orleans for many years. He attended New Orleans parochial and public schools and Soule Business College. He worked for 69 years for Bright and Co., formerly Louis J. Bright Coffee Importers, becoming its president. He was a former president of the New Orleans Board of Trade, the Macheca Real Estate and Improvement Co. and the Green Coffee Association of New Orleans. He was a founding member of International House and a member of the New York Coffee and Sugar Exchange. Mr. Satterlee was a parishioner of St. Stephen Catholic Church and a member of its Finance Committee. Survivors include two sons, George and Kent Satterlee Jr.; four daughters, Cynthia Manning, Verna Landrieu, Marie Kernion and Audrey Fontana; 30 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at noon at Bultman Funeral Home, 3338 St. Charles Ave., followed by a Mass at 12:30 p.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1025 Napoleon Ave. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery.
