He was 70. Mr. Lutenbacher was born in New Orleans and lived in Lafayette for the past six years. He received a bachelor of science at Tulane University and a master's and doctorate in education at the University of Southern Mississippi. He was principal at Edna Karr Junior High School in Algiers for 20 years and was headmaster of Carrollton Presbyterian School for 10 years after his retirement from the New Orleans Public School System. He served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana and was involved in the merger of the city and state retirement committees. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Puckett Lutenbacher; a daughter, Lynne Roberts of Bellevue, Wash.; two stepsons, William Campbell III of Irvine, Calif., and Charles Puckett Campbell of Granby, Colo.; three brothers, John and Stanley Lutenbacher of New Orleans and Harold Lutenbacher of Conroe, Texas; and two grandchildren. A Mass will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
