He was 64. Mr. Marino was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Since joining the opera company in 1973, Mr. Marino has overseen the wigs and makeup for practically every production, including the recent productions of "Die Flerdermaus" and "Tosca." Mr. Marino also created makeup and wigs for the Mobile, Ala.; Shreveport; and Orlando, Fla., opera companies as well as for Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre, Loyola Opera, the University of New Orleans Opera, Delta Festival Ballet, Jesuit Drama Department, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre and countless other dance and theater projects in the New Orleans area. He was the winner of the 1996 Tribute to the Classical Arts Special Achievement Award. Survivors include three sisters and three grandchildren. There will be a private funeral. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Mausoleum. Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
