All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Felix Tranchina Fallo, co-founder and former president of the Lamana Co., now Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, died Monday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Biloxi, Miss. He was 96. Mr. Fallo was born in New Orleans and lived in Waveland, Miss., for many years. He attended Live Oak School and Warren Easton High School. In 1921, Mr. Fallo and his brother, Joseph, founded the Lamana Co. at 624 St. Phillip St. The company has grown to include four locations in and around the New Orleans area. He was a Navy veteran of World War I. He was past captain of Jerusalem Drum and Bugle Corps, past commander of the American Legion Mid-City Post 232 and a former member of the Grand Consistory of Louisiana No. 320, Eastern Star Bay Chapter 129 in Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Jerusalem Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. He was a member of Dante Masonic Lodge No. 174 F&AM in New Orleans; Andrew Jackson Lodge No.428 F&AM in Arabi; Dominique You Masonic Lodge No. 468 F&AM in Yscloskey; Farhad Grotto Mystic Order of Vail Prophets of the Enchanted Realm Unit Council; Drum Corp and Provost Guard Unit; Veterans of World War I; 40 & 8 Voiture Locale No. 432, Grand Voiture, Miss.; the Gentilly Lions Club; Woodman of the World Maple Camp; the Old Friends Barracks Club; the Old Hickory Club, Arabi; the American Association of Retired Persons; the Italian Culture Society; St. Bartholomew Apostle Italian Society; St. Mary's Catholic Youth Organization Boosters Club; Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association; and the Louisiana State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. Survivors include his wife, Lois Buniff Thibodeaux Fallo of Waveland; a daughter, Rose Mary Verdigets of New Orleans; a stepson, Eugene Thibodeaux of Covington; a stepdaughter, Lois Van Dyke of Waveland; four grandchildren; eight step- grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nine step-great- grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild. A Mass will be said Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, Miss. Visitation will be today at 7 p.m. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
