All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Miss Jennie Mazzola, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Caledonia Mazzola, and Mr. Rosario LaNasa were married Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock in the prescence of a large and fashionable gathering in St. John the Baptist Church, which was brilliantly illuminated and decorated with palms and ferns. The wedding march announced the arrival of the bridal party, led by the ushers, Paul Chiarello, Joseph Pecoraro, Robert Lashly, Edward P. Flettrich, Sidney A. Woods and Mr. Terranova. The groomsmen were Mr. Ernest Aiavoliasit and Anthony J. Cristina, and August A. Mazzola acted as his best man. They were followed by the bridesmaids, Misses Sarah Crescioni, Mary Famalia and the maid of honor, Conchetta Mazzola, sister of the bride. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Frohm. The bride's attendants were gowns of white silk crepe with two flounces ad trimmed with white silk lace, and carried large bouquets of American pink roses, and pink carnations. The bride's gown was a lovely dress of white silk crepe, trimmed with fancy white silk lace and passementerle and the veil of illusions was caught with orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of white bridal roses, and valley lilies and showered with ferns and baby ribbon. The mother of the bride wore a white silk gown trimmed with fancy silk lace. The mother of the bridegroom wore a white silk waist and a black skirt with accordion plaits. Immediately after the ceremony the bride and the groom left for a short stay on the Gulf coast and expect to return to their home to receive their friends after September 15.
