The Hannibal Journal January 27, 1848
The Supreme Court of the United States has decided in favor of Mrs. Gen. 
Gaines in the case involving so many millions of property in Louisiana -- 
mostly in New Orleans.  This decision makes Mrs. Gaines one of the richest 
person's in Uncle Sam's dominion.
