She Was 75. Mrs. Fyfe Was Born In Florence County, S.C., And Lived In New Orleans For 45 Years. In South Carolina, Mrs. Fyfe Served As Civilian Personnel Director At Columbia Army Air Base During World War Ii. Mrs. Fyfe Was On The Board Of Trustees Of The Munholland United Methodist Church. She Was Also A Member Of The Parsonage Committee And Had Served On The Church's Administrative Board. She Was The Past President Of United Methodist Women And A Past Conference Officer Of The Methodist Board Of U.M.W. She Was Once Named Woman Of The Year By United Methodist Women And Was A U.M.W. Circle Leader. Mrs. Fyfe Was A Past President Of The American Association Of Retired Persons Chapter 2154 And Was This Year's Vice President. She Was Also Chairwoman Of The Aarp's Social And Town Committee And Was A Volunteer At J.C. Ellis Elementary School. Mrs. Fyfe Was Instrumental In The Establishment Of The Andrus Library At The Metairie Senior Center. Survivors Include A Son, M. Douglas Fyfe; A Daughter, Phyllis Lee Fyfe Browning; Two Brothers, James Colin Freeman And Ray L. Freeman; A Sister, Dorothy Taylor; And A Grandchild.
