He Was A Member Of The Knights Of Columbus, Christoford Columbo, And Reigned As King Of Hephaestus Carnival Krewe In Morgan City In 1960, And Also As King Of Orpheus In New Orleans In 1953. Dr. Russo Completed His Undergraduate Training At Lsu And Received A Doctor Of Medicine At Lsu Medical School In 1941. After Completing His Internship At Charity Hospital In New Orleans, He Served Two Years In A Family Practice Residency In Lafayette, La. His Medical Training Was Interrupted By W.W.Ii. He Volunteered In The Us Army, And Served As A Flight Surgeon In The Newly Formed United States Army Air Corps. He Flew Several Bomber Missions As Flight Surgeon. He Remained In The Military Until The End Of The War, And His Services Were No Longer Required. After Discharge From The U.S. Army, At The Rank Of Major Returned The Lafayette Charity And Continued His Family Practice Residency, Moving To Morgan City, La In 1946. In Morgan City, Her Practiced Medicine In Family Practice Until Age 72, At Which Time He Retired. In Retirement He Continued To Enjoy Life, Maintaining Beautiful Vegetable Gardens, Hunting, Fishing, Shrimping And Most Of All, Activities Involving His Large Extended Family.
