He Graduated From Northwestern University. He Was An Army Veteran Of World War Ii And Received The Bronze Star And Purple Heart. He Worked For Boeing Co., General Dynamics Aeronautics And The National Aeronautics And Space Administration. He Received Awards For His Involvement In The First Manned Lunar Landing Mission And Was Enrolled In The Apollo/Saturn V Roll Of Honor. Survivors Include A Son, Craig W. Szakaly; Two Daughters, Elaine Szakaly Scott Of Metairie And Dianne C. Szakaly; A Brother, John Szakaly; A Sister, Rose Gaydos; And Two Grandchildren.
