She was educated within the New Orleans public school system. Cherrilyn's talents were many. She was most known for her love of God, melodious voice, sharp wit, comedy, generosity, and she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tatianna, grandparents; Julia W. Lewis, Rev. Isadore Thornton, Florence B. Thornton, Joyce T. H. Williams, Warren Garrison, Herman Evans Sr., Mary Jane Evans and David L. Harris, cousins Allende Fraise, and Reginald LaFrance. She is survived by her children Edward, Ty'Jae, and Onya Harris, parents Brenda (Richard) Palmer and Herman (Diane) Evans Jr., grandfather Edgar Williams, her siblings Katasha (LaShandra) Harris, Stacey Williams, Burmetta Evans, Herman Evans III, Bianca (Aleksander) Tumanov, Melva (Andrew) Panday, Simmone Williams and Zaquia Henry, 30 nieces, nephews, doggie nephews, and a host of family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, as well as the pastors, officers and members of Genesis M.B.C., Fairview M.B.C., Bibleway M.B.C. and Word Tabernacle of Baton Rouge, are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, April 7, 2017, 10 am, at Genesis M.B.C., 1820 N. Robertson St, New Orleans, LA 70116, Rev Louis Calep III, host pastor, Rev. Reginald L. Gentry, officiating. Church visitation from 9 am until 10 am. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
