Maloney on Tuesday, January 17, 1984 at 12:45 p. m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Lafayette, La. Husband of Alice Simon. Father of Donald J. Maloney of Beaumont, Texas, Arthur J. Maloney, Jr. of Lafayette and James P. Maloney, II of Atlanta, Ga. Brother of Mrs. Julia C. Meole of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Lucille Serio of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Esther Fisher of Boutte, La., Mrs. Johanna Kotter of Mandeville, La., Miss Ida Maloney of New Orleans and James P. Maloney, Jr. of Baton Rouge. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. Mr. Maloney was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Lafayette since 1939. Son of the late James P. Maloney, Sr. and the late Esther Coburn, both of New Orleans. Employed by Coburn Supply since 1936 and at his death was president of Coburn and its affiliated distributors of La. and Texas. Mr. Maloney was a veteran of World War II serving in the Navy. He was 66, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Lafayette since 1939. He was president of Coburn Supply Cp., Lafayette, and a U. S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Delhomme Funeral Home, Lafayette, 10 a. m. to religious services at 3 p. m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. John P. Reynolds. Burial in Lafayette Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Alice Simon Maloney, Lafayette; three sons, Donald J. Maloney, Beaumont, Texas, Arthur James Maloney, Jr., Lafayette, and James P. Maloney II, Atlanta, Ga.; five sisters, Mrs. Julia C. Meole, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Lucille Serio, Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Esther Fisher, Boutte, Mrs. Johanna Kotter, Mandeville, and Ida Maloney, New Orleans; a brother, James P. Maloney Jr., Baton Rouge and seven grandchildren.
