MEOLE, JULIA M. - A retired court reporter with the 19th Judicial District Court 
and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Sunday, Feb 3, 2002, at Our Lady of the 
Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 86 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting 
at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. Tuesday. 
Visiting at the funeral home from 9 a. m. until religious services at 11 a. m. 
Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Donald V. Blanchard. Interment in Resthaven 
Gardens of Memory.

Survived by her husband, Charles N. Meole of Baton Rouge; three daughters and 
sons-in-law, Lynne and Jim Rawley of Lake Charles, Phyllis and James Pierce of 
Wilmington, N. C., and Kathy and Paul Bernacchio of Denham Springs; two sons and 
a daughter-in-law, Charles N. Meole, Jr. of Seattle and Nicholas and Karen Meole 
of Walker; two sisters, Esther Fisher of Boutte and Jo Kotter of Mandeville; a 
brother, James P. Maloney of Baton Rouge; nine grand-children, Seth Sherman, 
Rachel Meole Nester, Joe Rawley, Jennifer Meole, Caleb and Kate Bernacchio, ben 
Pierce, Andrew Bernacchio and Claire Bernacchio; a great-grand-child, Julie 
Meole; and companion and loving friend, Ruby Young.

Preceded in death by her parents, James P. Maloney, Sr. and Esther E. Coburn; 
four sisters, Mary Elma Maloney, Lucille Serio, Ida Maloney and Juanita Thomson; 
and a brother, Arthur Maloney.

She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
