Held Jr., 63, of Boise, died Friday, May 10, 2002, at home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Cloverdale Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cloverdale Memorial Park. A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home. Andrew was born Sept. 10, 1938, in New Orleans., to Andrew and Margaret Held. Andrew graduated from Rosebud High School in Rosebud, Ark. In 1980 he received an associated degree from the University of Maryland. Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. Air Force where he completed training in aircraft maintenance and also spent part of his military service as an instructor in aircraft environmental systems. He had a great passion for military aircraft of many nations, both past and present. He married Camellia Mae Urban, whom hed met in Chicago while on leave, in 1960. They were happily married for 42 years, and raised two sons, Kenneth and Craig. Andrew retired, with the rank of master sergeant, from the U.S. Air Force in 1978 after 20 years of meritorious service. He moved with his family to Boise, where he started his second career with Hewlett-Packard. He especially enjoyed his role as a mechanical engineering specialist, where he made lifetime friends. Andrew enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, hunting, woodworking, researching family history, and spending time with his grandchildren, Jacob and Elizabeth. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to those who knew him. While his death was a tragic shock he passed peacefully doing what he loved, working in the garden; his presence will be greatly missed. Andrew we miss you and love you very much. He is survived by his wife, Camellia; two sons, Ken Held and Craig Held, all of Boise; seven sisters, June Stifflemire of Bellchase., Linda Perkins of Albion, Calif., Marilyn Talley of Bogalusa., Colleen Pridgen of Gretna., Teresa Lynn Held of Portland, Ore., Andy Joy McKinley of Bay St. Louise, Miss., and Bernadette Edwards of Pearl.; four brothers, Brian Held of Lanton, Okla., Gary Held of Bellchase., Daryl Held of Tomball, Texas, and Troy Edwards of Slidell.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Held of Mountain Home, and Jacob Held of Boise. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Joseph Held Sr.; mother, Margaret Held; a brother, Gregory Wendell; and two grandsons, Matthew and Jeremy.
