On September 28, 2017, heaven opened its doors and received one of God’s
children back into Divine providence…Set free from this life at age, 84
Absent from the body, present with the Lord (I Cor. 15:3)
Edgar Williams, was the son of the Late Elmo Williams, Gladys Taylor, 
stepson of the Lucille Cutno Williams, and late Aunt Beatrice Williams. 
He was educated in the Orleans Parish School System, finished 11th grade 
in Chicago Ill. Living with his mother, at age 18, Edgar accepted Christ
and was baptized at the St. John Institutional MBC, 
under the late Dr. Willie Earl Hausey. Later he was united with the Fairview 
MBC, under its present Pastor, Rev. Cleveland Washington where he sang in 
the choir, was involved with the Mens Dept, Sunday school, Youth, and worked 
closely with Rev. Mosley.He married his beloved of many years the late 
Sister Joyce Thornton Harris Williams in 1995. 
Preceded in death by his parents, Elmore and Lucille Williams, (Gladys 
Taylor) his only sister, Helen Oliver his loving and beloved wife, 
Joyce T. H. Williams, his great granddaughter, Tatiana Harris, 
granddaughter, the late Cherrilyn Harris Evans. 
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters Lucille Thompson 
and Brenda Palmer, close relatives, Harry Brown, Veronica “Rockie” White,
 Bishop Chante Sutton, Barbara Ann Brown (Chicago, Ill) 
 grandchildren Katasha (LaShandra) Harris and Stacey Williams, 
 great grandchildren Edward Harris, Sasha Williams, Rava’s Williams, 
 Ty’Jae Harris, Shelby Naquin, Onya Harris, D’Angelo Naquin, Phillip Naquin
 and one greatgranddog Brutus and other family and friends.
 Professional Services Entrusted to Littlejohn Funeral Home.
