This is, to the best of my knowledge, a true and correct typed copy 
of the original birth record (Certified 1/21/2003,by Beth Davis, Archives
Research)for my Great Great Aunt).

BE IT REMEMBERED that on this day, to wit: the sixteenth of November
In the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three and
The seventy three of the Independence of the United States of American,
Before me, A. Lipagne, duly commissioned and sworn RECORDER OF BIRTHS &
DEATHS, in and for the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared,

Mr. Rodolph Baumgartner, a native of Switzerland, residing at the
Corner of Levee & St. Mary Streets, ?????? District of the city, who
To these presents declares that on the fourth of July eighteen hundred
And forty nine (July 4th, 1849) in a house situated on Fulton St.
Between Adele & Josephine Streets, Fourth District of this city, was
Born a female child named Arabela Anna Baumgartner, ???? of the
Legitimate marriage of desponent??? With Seraphine Hepp, a native of
Havana.

Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Mr. Rodolph
Baumgartner as also in that of Messrs. Edgar Hanashard and John F.
Hanshard, both of this city, witnesses by me requested so to be, who
Have herunto set their hands, together with me, after due reading
Hereof the day, month and year first above written.
