Be it Remembered, that on this day, to-wit: the Fourteenth of 
July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and 
seventy-six and the One hundredth of the Independence of the 
United States of America, before me, G. Casanave, duly 
commissioned and sworn Recorder of Births, Marriages and 
Deaths, in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, 

personally appeared: 
Giuseppe Cristina, a native of Italy, residing in this city 
who hereby declares that on the twenty fifth day of May 
eighteen hundred and seventy six (May 25, 1876) was born in 
this city a female child named 

			Rosa Cristina 

issue of the lawful marriage of deponent with Rosalia Barbera, 
a native of Italy
