Be it remembered, That on this day to wit: the Nineteenth of July 
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty six 
and the ninetifirst of the Independance of the United States of 
America, before me F.M. CROZAT, duly commissioned and sworn recorder 
of Births and Deaths, in and for the Parish and City of Orleans 
personally appeared: 

Mr Jean Carreras a native of Mahon "Spain" residing on Frenchmen street 
No 147 in this city who by these presents declares that on the twentieth 
of June of this present year (20th June 1866) at nine O'clock A M. in this 
city was born a male child named 

		JOSEPH WILLIAM CARRERAS

Lawful son of deponent with Mrs Catherine Schwabb a native of New Orleans.  
Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Juan Carreras as 
also in that of Messrs. Paul E Crozat and F.M. Crozat both of this city, 
witnesses by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their hands together 
with me after due reading hereof, the day, month and year of the above written.
