Be it Remembered, That on this day to wit: the twenty fifth of 
November One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Six (25 Nov. 1896) 
.. before me S. P. Olliphant, M. D. ... in and for the Parish 
and City of New Orleans 

personally appeared: 
Charles Auguste Demarest native of this city, residing at no. 
101 Mandeville St., who hereby declares that on the thirteenth 
day of August 1892 (13 Aug. 1892) at this residence was born 
a female child, named 

			Beulah Demarest (white) 

lawful issue of deponant a native of this city aged 39 years, 
occupation clerk and Marie C. Crais a native of this city, 
aged 36 years. 

This done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid 
C. A. Demarest ...
