Choppin, M.D., President Board of Health and ex-officio Recorder of Births, Marriages and Deaths, in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, personally appeared: John Dow, a native of England, residing #315 Fulton Street in this city, who hereby declares that on the Tenth day of April of this present year (10 April 1879) at his aforesaid residence was born a male child, named John David Dow (white) lawful issue of John Dow, a native of England, aged 39 years, occupation laborer, and Mary Ann Thompson, a native of England, aged 21 years. Thus Done at New Orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid J. Dow as also in that of Messrs. L.C. Hepburn and C.H.
