Be it Remembered, That on this day to-wit: The Nineteenth of January in the 
year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Seven...personally 
appeared, 
Joseph Faust, a native of this city residing #1401 Bartholomew St 
who hereby declares, that on the Seventh of September 1888 ( Sept 7th/88) at 
his residence was born 

a male child, named Walter Faust (White) 

Lawful issue of Deponent a native of this city age 43 years, occupation Gardner 
and Marguerite Baumgartner a native of Germany, aged 31 years, Thus done at New 
Orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid J. Faust as also in that of 
Messrs. P.H. Lanauze and L.B. Guibrach both of this city...
