Be it Remembered, That on this day to-wit: Third of March, 1875 
... in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, 

personally appeared: 
P. Viosca, a native of Spain, residing No. 291 Chartres Street 
in the City, Who hereby declares that on the twenty third of 
December, eighteen hundred and seventy two (December 23rd 1872) 
at No. 163 Barracks Street in this city was born a male child 
named 

			Alcee Octave Dominique Gelpi

lawful issue of Paul Gelpi with Louise Baudier both native of 
New Orleans. 

Thus Done at New Orleans, in the presence of P. Viosca ...
