Be it Remembered, That on this day, to-wit: the Eighteenth October 
in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Five 
and the 100th of the Independence of the United States of America 
before me, G. Casanave, duly commissioned and sworn Recorder of Birth, 
Marriages and Deaths, in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, 

personally appeared:
Emelia Kelting born Althaus a native of Germany residing at 147 
Terpsechore street in this city who hereby declares that on the 
Second day of September Eighteen Hundred and Seventy four (2nd 
September 1874) at deponents residence in this city was born at 
8 ˝ o’clock p. m., a male child name 

			JOHN HENRY KELTING

Lawful issue of deponent with John Henry Kelting a native of New 
York City.

Thus Done at New Orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid Emelia 
Kelting as also in that of Messrs. P. Lanauze, ????????? both of 
this City, witnesses by me requested so to be who have hereunto 
set their hands, together with me, after due reading hereof, the 
day, month and year first above written.
