Lessou, duly commissioned and sworn Recorder of Births, Marriages and Deaths in and for the Parish and City of Orleans personally appeared Octave Legier, a native of New Orleans residing on Dumain street No. 260 – 2nd Dist., in this city hereby declares that on the fifteenth day of March eighteen hundred and Seventy-one (15th of March 1871) at two o’clock P. M. at deponent’s residence was born a female child named not yet Christen Legier, lawful issue of deponent with Odeide Drouet, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Octe Legier as also in that of Messrs. ???? and J. H. Darboval both of this city, witnesses by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their hands together with me, after due reading hereof the day, month and year first above written.
