Be it remembered, that on this day, to wit, the TWENTY THIRD OF 
NOVEMBER in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and 
EIGHTY-SEVENTH and the one hundred and TWELFTH of the Independence 
of the United States of America, before me, JOSEPH HOLT, M.D., duly 
commissioned and sworn Recorder of Births, marriages, and deaths, 
in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, 

personally appeared, 
SAMUEL R. MESSINA, a native of THIS CITY residing AT NO. URSULINE 
STREET,  who hereby declares that on the FOURTEENTH INSTANT (24 
NOVEMBER 1887) AT HIS AFORESAID RESIDENCE was born a MALE child 
named SAMUEL 

			JOSEPH MESSINA (WHITE) 

LAWFUL issue of  DEPONENT, a Native of THIS CITY, aged 29 years, 
occupation, LABORER and ANAIS CATTALUNGNO, a native of THIS CITY 
aged 22 years.

Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid, S. R. 
MESSINA, as also in that of Messrs. P. H. LANAUZE & A. A. VOORHIES, 
both of this city, witnesses, by me requested so to be who have here
unto set their hands together with me after due reading hereof, the 
day, month, and year found above written.
