R. Olliphant, MD, President, Board of Health and ex-officio recorder of Births, Deaths, and Marriages in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, personally appeared Lea J. Burton, a native of Louisiana, residing at 28 Newton St., Algiers, who hereby declares, that on the 12th day of August 1892 (Aug. 12, 1892) at his residence, was born a female child, named Lee Josephine Aikman McLean, (White), Lawful issue of John O. McLean, a native of Louisiana, aged 36 years, occupation, Ship Carpenter, and Elizabeth H. Aikman, a native of Louisiana, aged 36 years. This done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid, Lea J. Burton, as also in that of Messrs, P. H. Lanauze and A. P. Smith, both of this city, witnesses, by me requested so to be who have hereunto set their hands together with me after due reading hereof, the day, month and year found above written. Grandchild of John Owen McLean, Sr. and Mary Jane Sweetland McLean and Robert Miller Aikman and Isophene Burkett Smith (2nd marriage to John Smith).
