Pessou, duly commissioned and sworn Recorder of Births, Marriages, and deaths, in and for the Parish and city of New Orleans, personally appeared, Mary Roach, a native of Ireland, residing in Algiers who hereby declares that on the first of November, eighteen hundred and sixty-nine (1st of November 1869) at Deponent(?) Residence in Algiers was born a female child named Caroline Peterson lawful issue of Martin Peterson, a native of Switzerland with Deponent. Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid, Mary Roach, as also in that of Messrs. G. Renaud and H. Colin, both of this city, witnesses, by me requested so to be who have hereunto set their hands together with me after due reading hereof, the day, month, and year found above written.
