Be it remembered that on this day to wit, the Eleventh of April
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four 
and the eighty eighth of the Independence of the United States of 
America, before me, F. M. Crozat, duly commissioned and sworn 
Recorder of Births and Death in and for the Parish and City of 
Orleans personally appeared

Emma Philipps (born Legier) a native of New Orleans residing on 
Marigny street between Morales and Urquart street in this city 
who by these presents declares that on the twelfth of December 
eighteen hundred and sixty-three (12th December 1863) at deponent 
residence was born a female child named

		Mary Louise Izabelle Philipps

Issue of the lawful marriage of deponent with Mr. Louis Philipps 
native of Louisiana

Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Emma 
Philipps as also in that of Messrs. Paul Emil Crozat  ???? both 
of this city, witnesses by me requested so to be, who have hereunto 
set their hands together with me, after due reading hereof the day, 
month and year first above written.
