Latorre, duly commissioned and sworn Recorder Of Births and Deaths, in and for the Parish and City of Orleans personally appeared: Felix Rice a native of Ireland residing at the corner of Rampart and Gravier Streets (First district in this city) who by these presents declares that on the twenty-ninth of September in the Year Eighteen Hundred and Sixty-Five (29th September 1865) on Liberty St. near Calliope Street in this city, was born a male child named Bernard Rice, Jr. The legal issue of Mr. Bernard Rice, with Miss Catherine Swords, both natives of Ireland. THUS DONE at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Felix Rice as also that of Mssrs. A. Sindros and J.A.
