Wilkinson, MD, President, Board of Health and Ex-Officio Recorder of Births, Deaths, and Marriages in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, personally appeared, B. Cohen, a native of LA, residing in this city, who hereby declares, that on the 17th of July 1887 (2 Sept 1883) in Algiers (City), was born a male child, named Michael Edward Stinger (sp) (White) Lawful issue of Laurence stinger, a native of Germany aged 37 years, occupation, Engineer, and Barbara Streik (sp), a native of N. O., LA, aged 36 years. This done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid, B. Cohen, as also in that of Messrs, P.H. Lanauze & (unable to read), both of this City, witnesses, by me requested so to be who have hereunto set their hands together with me after due reading hereof, the day, month, and year found above written. Lisa Cotten's Notes: **Middle name of Birth Certificate looks like "Edmond" not Edward. This is my maternal Grandfather. Family says it is Michel Edward and my mother said that when he found out that my middle name was Michele, he thought my mother named me after him.
