All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http:/www.usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Be it remembered that on this day to wit: the twelfth of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one and the sixty sixth of the Independance of the United States of America, before me Vincent Ramos duly commissioned and sworn RECORDER OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS in and for the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared Mr. Francois Schwab a native of Albersweiler canton Annsweiler Lan commissariat Bergzabern in Rhinebavaria aged about thirty one years and six months, blacksmith by profession and currently a Coffe and Boarding housekeeper at the Corner of Victory and Enghien streets in the third municipality, who by these presents doth declare that on the ninth day of October last past between two and three o'clock A.M. in the above said house was born a female child named Louise Schwab from Catharine Barthel a native of Wasslenheim near Pfalzbourg Department Lower Rhine, Kingdom of France about 19 years & 6 months of age and since three years and 6 months the lawful wife of the Deponent. The paternal grandparents of the said child being Mr Peter Schwab of the said Albersweiler Mariane Hochberg of Aarzheim near Landau in Rhinebavaria; and the maternal grandparents Bartholomacus Arnold Barthel and Mrs Anna Marie Drussel both of the said Wasslenheim. Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Mr Francois Schwab as also in that of Messrs. Randolph Grondorffer(??) and Octave Blache both of this city, witnesses by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their hands together with me after due reading hereof, the day month and year first above written.
