Be it Remembered, That on this day to wit: the Fourth of February, 
1885, ... before me Joseph Holt, M.D., ... in and for the Parish 
and City of New Orleans, 

personally appeared, 
Joseph J. Thompson, a native of this city residing at No. 519 1/2 
Annunication Street, who hereby declares, that on the twenty fifth 
day of last Month (25 January 1885) at his residence was born a 
female child, named 

			Sydalise A. Thompson (white) 

lawful issue of deponent, a native of this city, aged 37 years, 
occupation Bookkeeper, and Adelaide Prescott Casse a native of 
Washington, La., aged 29 years. 

Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid J. J. 
Thompson ...Note: Also used the name of Marie Adelaide Sydalese 
Thompson
