BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this day to-wit:  the Twentieth of October in the year of our 
Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Eighteen and the One Hundred and 43 of the Independence 
of the United States of America, before me, Wm. H. Robin, M. D., Chairman Board of Health 
and Ex-officio Recorder of Births, Deaths and Marriages, in and for the Parish of Orleans, 
personally appeared
F. Bultman, an undertaker, native of this city residing at No.2917 Magazine St., who hereby 
declares that John Bernius (white) a native of Houston, Texas, aged 36 yr. 11 mo. 27 days 
departed this life yesterday (19th. Of October 1918) at No. 3245 Annunciation Street in this 
city.
Cause of Death Acute Lobar Pneumonia

Deceased was the husband of Nora Tierney; a Foreman for I. C. R. R., and a son of Geo. Bernius.
