All records show last name to be spelled Baumgartner (personal knowledge) Be it Remember, That on this date to=wit: the ninth of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred, 1900, and the One Hundred and 25 of the independence of the United States of America, before me QUITMAN KOHNKE, M.D., Chairman, Board of Health and Ex-Officio Records of Birth, Deaths and Marriage, in and for the Parish of Orleans, personally appeared: B. F. Markey, an Undertake, native of the city residing ?? ?? 250 S. Clailse St who hereby delares the Rudolph Baumgarten (white) a native of Switzerland, Aged 71 years departed this life, yesterday (8 Aug 1900) at the Charity Hospital in this city. Cause of Death: R. R. Injuries Certificate of Dr. M. V. Richard, Corner Deceased was married, 62 years in city, a Cigar Maker, resided at 3827 Custom House, Birth place of parents, Switzerland.
