Be it Remembered, That on this day to wit: the seventh of July 
in the year of our LOrd, One Thousand, Nine Hundred and two and 
the One Hundred and 27 of the Inedpendance of the United States 
of America, before me, QUITMAN KOHNKE, M.D., Chairman of the Board 
of Health and Ex-Officio Recorder of Births, Deaths and Marriages, 
in and for the Parish of Orleans, and the City of New Orleans, 
personally appeared 

P.J. Schoen. an undertaker native of this city residing at 527 Elysian 
Fields Ave. who hereby declares that 

		LOUISA LAIS 

lawful wife of Stephen G. Carreras (WHITE) a native of this city, aged 
24yrs, 6months departed this life yesterday. (6 July 1902) at no 1719 
Touro Street in this city. Cause of Death Phthisis Pulmonitis. Certificate 
of Dr. R. A. Tudury. Birth place of parents... (blank). Thus done at New 
Orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid P.J. Schoen. as also in that of 
P.H. Lanauze and J. Todowd both of this city, witnesses requested so to be, 
who have hereunto set their hands together with me, after reading hereof this
