All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Be it remembered that on this day to wit, the twenty-sixth of February in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and forty-one and the sixty-fifth [year?] of the Independence of the United States of America, before me [name illegible] duly commissioned and swore recorder of Births and Deaths in and of the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared Mr Rufino Thomas Fernandez born at Galvazton in the State of Louisiana on the sixteenth Day of November in the year seventeen hundred ninety nine, keeper of the records of [illegible] and cathedral [illegible] of St. Louis of this parish of New Orleans residing on St. Ann Street between Conde' and Royale Streets in this [illegible] who by their presents doth declare that Mr. Jean Baptiste Neuville Durel born in this Parish on the fifth of January, seventeen hundred & Ninety-Two in the lawful marriage of the late Mr. Francois Durel and of the late Marie Manette Dejan departed this life on the yesterday the twenty-first instant at half past nine o'clock P.M. at this domicle No. 17 on Hospital Street between St. Louis and Conde' Streets in the first [illegible - maybe municipality?] The said Mr. J.B.N. Durel was lawfully married on the Twenty-First of January Eighteen Hundred and nineteen to Louise Eugenie Dupuy a native of Moll St. Nicoles, Island and Republic of Haiti, His surviving widow residing in this city.
