Death Certificate for Emelie Gaignard

Be it remembered, that on this day, to wit:  the fifteenth of December in 
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty Five ...in and for 
the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared

Charles Azaretto a native of this city a Segar maker residing on Spain 
Street between Morales & Urquhart Streets in the third Municipality Who by 
these presents declares that his Mother, Emelie Gaignard, a native of St. 
Domingo, aged forty nine years Departed This Life on the twenty seventh day 
of November of this present year (27th November 1845) at eight o'clock P.M. 
at the aforesaid residence of deponent.

THUS DONE at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Charles Azaretto ...
