Death Certificate for Gaignard, Jeanne 

Be it remembered, that on this day, to wit:  the Sixteenth of 
March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and 
thirty five ...in and for the Parish of Orleans, Personally 
appeared 

Jean Louis Dufrene a native of Port au Prince in the Island 
of Ste Domingo aged forth three years a Cigar maker residing 
in this City Ursulines Street no 153 Who by these presents 
doeth declare that his niece named Jeanne, the natural Daughter 
of Marie Madelaine Gaignard, Died in this City on the twenty 
fourth of February ... at about Six o'clock P.M. at the said residence.  

THUS DONE at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Jean Louis Dufrene ...
