Be it remembered that on this day to with the Eighteenth of May 
in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Four 
and the One Hundredth and Eighth of the Independence of the United 
States of America 
before me Joseph Holt M. D., President of Health and Ex-Officio Recorder 
of Births, Deaths and Marriages in and for the Parish of Orleans personally 
appeared
Chs. Heyob, an undertaker, a native of La.
residing at  No. 249 Royal Street who hereby declares, that Mrs. Widow 
William Alexandre Hausse, born Helene Antoine (White)
a native of Nancy, France
Departed this life, yesterday (17 May 1884) AT  NO. 52 Frenchmen St., in 
this city.  Cause of death Apoplexy

Thus done at New Orleans in the present of the aforesaid C. Heyob as also 
in that of Messrs. B. B. Howard and(can not read) both of this city,
witnesses, by as requested is to be, who have hereunto set their hands, 
together with me after reading hereof, the day , month and year first above
