All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ BE IT REMEMBERED that on this day, to-wit: the thirteenth of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six and the seventy first of the Independence of the United States of America, before me, F.M. Crozat, duly commissioned and sworn RECORDER OF BIRTHS AND DEATHS, in and for the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared, Mr Joseph Adams Hall, a native of Boston in the State of Massachusetts, a merchant of this city, residing on Race Street between Camp and Colliseum Streets in the Second Municipality, who in presence of the undersigned witnesses declares, that Joseph Caswell Hall born in the city, on the twenty first of September eighteen hundred and forty three, legitimate son of deponent with Mrs. Margaretta Indiana Caswell, departed this life on the fourteenth of June of this present year (1846) at six o'clock in the evening, at the aforesaid residence of deponent. Thus done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Mr Joseph Adams Hall as also in that of Messrs. Louis William Andry and Eugene Lacoste both of this city, witnesses by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their hands, together with me, after due reading hereof, the day, month and year first above written. The Birth certificate states September 21, 1843 as date of birth and the death certificates states September 25 1843 as date of birth. Both first and fifth are clearly written.
