One thousand eight hundred and fifty0two and the seventy-sixth of the Independence of the United States of America, before me, F. M. Crozat, duly commissioned and sworn Recorder of Births & Deaths, in and for the Parish and City of New Orleans, personally appeared Mr. Jean Francois Legier a native of this city residing on Morales Street between Marigny and Mandeville Streets in the third Municipality of this city who by these presents declares that Louise Lelia Legier, born in this city on the 7th of July 1833 the legitimate daughter of deponent and of Miss Barbe Octavie Newman died on the twenty-fifth day of November eighteen hundre and fifty, (November 25th, 1850) in this city. This done at New Orleans in the presence of the aforesaid Mr. Jean Francois Legier as also that of Messrs. Eugene Lacoste & [?] Edouard Crozat both of this city, witnesses by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their hands together with me, after d;ue reading hereof, the day, month and year first above written.
