Mr. Theodore Bigot, a native of New Orleans, residing 
on Marais St. between St. Philip and Maine Sts., 2nd 
Dist. in this city, who by these presents declares 
that 

			Peter Rice, 

a native of New Orleans, aged ----, departed this 
life on the 21st day of July this present year (July 
21, 1863) at 12 o'clock p.m., in a house located on 
Broad Canal near Carondelet Walk, 2nd Dist. in this 
city. Deceased was the lawful child of Peter Rice 
and Miss Caroline Hinkel, both natives of Germany.
