appeared H. L. Frantz, an undertaker, a native of 
Alsace, residing at No. 155 N. Peters St. who here
by declares that 

		Nicholas (Rice) Reiss (white), 

a native of Germany, aged 51 years, departed this 
life yesterday, (18 June 1866) at 129 Dryades St. 
in this city.

Cause of death:  heart disease, mitral insufficiency

Certificate of Dr. M. Fourguette

Deceased was married, 20 years in this city, barkeeper by occupation.
