Wilkinson, M.D., Chairman Board of Health and Ex-Officio Recorder of Births, Deaths, and marriages, in and for the Parish of Orleans, personally appeared L. Guilland, an Undertaker, native of France, residing at Algiers, this city, who hereby declares that Michael Spellman (White), a native of Ireland, aged 66 Years and 6 months departed this life on the twenty-sixth instant (26 April 1889) at Corner Pacific - Evelina Sts., Algiers in this city. Cause of death: paralysis from Cerebral effusion Certificate of Dr. W. N. Riley "Deceased was married, 20 years in this city." (Smeared number, could be 29 years.) Thus done at New Orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid, A. Guilland as also in that of P. H. Lauauze and A.A.
