Be it Remembered, That on this day to=wit  the Eight of February in the 
year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Nine and the One 
Hundred and ?????  of  the independence of the United States of America 
before me L Pessou, M.D. President Board of Health and Ex-Officio Recorder 
of Births, Deaths and Marriages, in and for the Parish and City of New 
Orleans, personally appeared :

Jean Sabathe , a native of France  residing on Dryades street  between 
Girod and Lafayette streets in this city who hereby declares, that 

		Marie  Sabathe’ (white)

a native of  this city aged eight days died on the Seventh instant,  
(February 7 1869) at Six O’clock PM  at deponent residence 
Deceased was the lawful child of deponent with Victorine Bellock a 
native of France
Certificate of Dr. B D Wiehnner

Thus done at New Orleans, in the presence of the aforesaid Jean Sabathe  
as also that of Messes A K Laffenandene & H Cohen both of this city 
witnesses, by me requested so to be, who have hereunto set their hands, 
together with me, after due reading hereof, the day, month and year first
