Houston, 1st J.P. for the parish of Orleans, personally appeared, F. Cellos, who, being duly worn, did depose and say that he is well acquainted with Thomas J. Rice and Mary L. Fielder who apply for a marriage license and know them to be of age. Sworn to and subscribed before me, Ferd Cellos, Jr. (Blank signature block) 1st J.P. Be it remembered that Thomas J. Rice as principal, and F. Cellos as surely, acknowledge themselves indebted unto the state of La. In the sum of $500, whereas the above bounden Thomas J. Rice has applied to W. T. Houston, 1st J.P. for the Parish of Orleans and has obtained from him a license to marry Mary L. Fielder. Now the condition of the above obligation is such that should it not appear within two years from and after this day that there exists at the time of granting such license that any legal impediment to said marriage them, and in such case the above obligation shall be null and void, else to remain in full force and effect. This done and signed at the City of New Orleans, this 13th day of November, 1876. (Signed) Thomas J. Rice Ferd Cellos, Jr. Signed in the presence of (Blank signature block) 1st J. P.
