This is to certify; That is appears from the Records of this office, 
that on this day, to-wit: The twenty-sixth of January in the year of 
our Lord, one-thousand eight hundred and Ninety-five and the one 
hundredth and Nineteenth of the Independence of the United States of 
America (Jan 26 1895) was registered a marriage celebrated in the City 
Of New Orleans, La., by Rev Father G.A. Rauxel on the 19th day of 
December 1894, between Joseph Francis (24 years) native of Miss., son 
of Luke Francis and Sedalise Ovide and Henrietta Lavigne (22 years), a 
native of this city, daughter of Gustave Lavigne and Natalie 
Desargeant.  The celebration of this marriage was performed in the 
presence of the witnesses Cyrille Waterman     Adolphe Reine       G. 
Lavigne.

The License was issued on the 19the day of December 1894 by the Hon. 
(unreadable)Births Marriages and Deaths in the presence of witnesses 
Gustave Lavigne        Adophole Reine.
