L. P. Heintz on the 11 day of Febry 1872 between Mathew [Matthew] Koch [Cook] aged twenty three years, (23 years,) a native of Germany son of Jacob Koch and Margaret Koch and Caroline Rehn [Rehm] aged (19 years,) a native of Louisiana daughter of Henry Rehn [Rehm] and Catharina Rehn [Rehm]. The celebration of the marriage was performed in the presence of the witnesses R. Maitre, Adolph Koch, C. Maitre. The License was issued on the 7 day of Febry [sic] 1872 by Hon. Chs. Meyers Justice of the Peace, in the presence of the Witnesses Claude Ravces [sic]. License Returned and filed, Book No. 3 Folio 338
